The Board of Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Contractors has approved Champion Technician Institute’s “Diploma Program.” We designed our Fast-Track Program in “2019.” We based it on several factors troubling the HVAC Industry. These factors all contributed to the largest problem we face which is the lack of qualified technicians in the Industry today.
This Industry allows the American Dream of “ownership” vs. being just another employee. Unfortunately this took a lot of quality technicians out of the workforce and created a very big void for existing HVAC owners.
Many HVAC Companies could only grow depending on the quality of their workforce instead of the quantity of the work available. Traditional training programs took 6 months to 2 years to produce a technician that could enter the workforce as an entry level technician.
