Champion Technician Institute’s Online Program is the most comprehensive program offered in the privacy of your own home and can be completed at your own pace. In order to help reduce out of town costs, along with the free “hands on” training included at the end of the course, students can now stay overnight at our facility free of charge. Our graduates will leave with a solid foundation of electrical circuits, how to read wiring diagrams, tools of the trade, safety and hazard prevention, the basic fundamentals of the refrigeration cycle, and how to troubleshoot it. This program should benefit many individuals that do not have the resources or the time frame needed to complete the majority of courses offered in this industry to date. They will also receive the 608 freon certification needed to handle freon through our HVAC Excellence or Nate testing programs.
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that the HVAC field will experience growth of 14% during the years from 2014-2024. This will add as many as 39,600 new jobs in just 10 years. Experienced HVAC techs will be in great demand, which means job security and a growing salary ($46,000 to $67,000 per year).
If you are going to be handing refrigerant, you are required to be EPA Section 608 certified.
