This course covers construction materials and how they affect a structure’s heat loss and heat gain.

This course covers construction materials and how they affect a structure’s heat loss and heat gain. Students will learn how to calculate a structure’s heat load, which is the amount of heat needed to maintain a set indoor temperature. A duct calculator and instruction booklet are included in this course.

This course will also cover how static pressure and air velocity affect air flow, as well as duct fabrication and installation. 

Students who complete this course will receive an Employment Ready Certificate.
