This course will further expand upon the refrigeration cycle covered in previous HVAC training courses. Students will learn about the basic vapor compression refrigeration cycle, refrigerants and oils, and refrigerant circuit components.
How air conditioner components, such as expansion valves and condenser coils, aid in heat transfer will also be discussed. Other topics include pressure, temperature, and the relationship between them.
Students will learn about retrofitting, installation and maintenance in relation to refrigerants.
This course provides ample information needed for the EPA Section 608 Exam. Students who complete this course will receive an Employment Ready Certificate.
