This course will educate students on copper refrigerant lines and their installation process.. Various procedures and joining methods are covered in detail so students and practicing technicians will become familiar with this essential component of heating and cooling systems.
Students will be introduced to the various types of copper tubing and the processes for which they are prepared for use (such as cutting, bending, and swaging). Brazing and soldering will also be taught, accompanied by an emphasis on torch safety. Students will then learn how to flare copper tubing and conduct leak tests.
Students who complete this course will receive an Employment Ready Certificate.
