Understanding air flow is integral to being a proficient HVAC technician. This course will provide students with an overview of the principles related to air measurement and the fundamentals of air movement.
Students will study the basic design conditions that must be present for duct systems to function properly, basic airflow design limits, and the methods of identifying and correcting air flow problems.
This course will help future technicians diagnose a refrigerant or airflow problem in an HVAC system during a service call. The technician will be able to determine air flow much faster, be it on an electrical or gas furnace. Field fabrication and ductwork modification will also be covered.
This course will include interactive portions so students can practice their skills in a simulated work environment.
