Course Description
This course begins with the “Safety and Hazard Awareness” section. A safe work environment is the responsibility of everyone involved. Technicians must know how to protect themselves and others when working with electricity.

The student will then learn what electricity is and how to use it in:
Diagnosing problems
Understanding wiring diagrams
Initial wiring installation
Troubleshooting motors

Ohm out capacitors
The student will gain a more in-depth knowledge by introducing:
Contactors
Relays
Transformers
Thermostats
Reversing Valve
Sequencers
Contactor coil burnout
Solenoid valves
Defrost timers
This course is easily the largest and most in-depth course in the “HVAC Technician Fast Track Program.”
